Date Weekend

So, Let's face it--when your husband is working a lot, it's not very fun to hang out in a small apartment by yourself. To solve this problem, I often do fun things in the city by myself or with friends, or go out of town to visit family (which has been happening more often recently). This past weekend, Nate won the 'battle' and I stayed in town instead of visiting my 3 nephews, and it was a total blast. Though he did still have to work, we did lots of fun things: Giants game, sleeping in, exercising in the gorgeous weather, pool time, lunch with friends, and then a trip to Sausalito. It was great. Here are some pics from our Sausalito date, which I loved!

Please note the floating Houses in the background! See below

The Floating Homes is one of the main attractions of Sausalito. Literally on the water, these gorgeous, large, unique homes add such a flavor to the cute city! You can read more about them here: http://www.floatinghomes.org/info.htm

View from one side of the city to the other with the boats to the side.

In downtown Sausalito, which is adorable, and filled with wine shops, expensive restaurants, and art galleries, there is this Indian-themed park! I didn't read the plaque to know what it was about, but it was really pretty!
And (drum roll please) the best part of the evening! Ice Cream! I opted for a cheaper dinner and ice cream rather than a fancy pancy dinner. It was totall worth it. This place, Lappert's, is also in Hawaii and has some awesome flavors (like coconut caramel macadamia nut). It was divine!

What a fun date night! The floating houses are really cool. That's so weird to think homes can exist like that?

Way fun to see you at the wedding reception!! Small world. Amie and Steve are such a cute couple.

Can't wait to find out what you're having. You are so beautiful and we're really happy for you!

Miss you!
