Recently I've been taking more advantage of my Netflix Instant Queue at nights, especially since I'm not a fan of the book club book this month. Anyway, last night I watched a movie which I knew was going to be horrible, but since Nathan wasn't going to be home, I figured I'd watch it without anyone knowing that I had done so and just secretly enjoy watching a horrible teeny bopper chic flick. Little did I anticipate that it would end with me crying. Yes, crying. No, not at Miley's horrible acting (I'm serious--she's awful!), or the cheesy love story (thankfully), but at the part of the plot at the end. You're going to have to watch it to find out what happens. So here's more of a review: Miley Cyrus, as well as all of the other teens in the movie, are horrible actors. I laughed many times because they were so uncomfortable. Will (the 'hearthrob') did better than some of the others, but overall those who play the teenagers in the film were beyond belief at some points. Another point--Miley has got to have money--with all of her Hannah Montana fame, a few songs, and a film. Can she get her teeth fixed? I know that's mean, but it is truly distracting and she'd be able to talk and smile and hold her mouth just a bit better if she had a few months of orthodontia. Though it's another Nicholas Sparks love story, the story line redeems itself in the end just a tad with family togetherness, love, and forgiveness. Hence the tears which were unexpected from my end. And yes, it's a bit embarrassing to admit this, but I was so in shock that I had to write about it. Oh, and the music, the 'last song' if you will..., is actually really pretty. So there's my 'review'. I'm not going to 'recommend' it because most people shouldn't waste their time, but for what it's worth!

Movie Review

This post is cracking me up right now because I literally just finished watching this while I was running this morning and cried. I too was shocked that I cried at this cheesy movie but the end was touching. HIlarious that we both saw this and that we both cried!
Haha! I love this post. I definitely agree about Miley's acting but i can't remember if I cried or not at the end! I really wish that Netflix worked in Australia! Claire is adorable by the way. Keep posting pics! :-)
I just watched this like 3 weeks ago - late at night with Emily. I was totally crying at the end and Blake was like, "Are you serious?" haha it was a good time filler...
We watched this last summer when we were on our cruise. We were in a theater filled with tweens and teens. Oh my heavens, I spent most of the movie laughing at the reactions of the kids watching the movie. Yes I was teary eyed at the end, but mostly I was getting a kick out of the several teenage girls around us who were BAWLING very loudly while their teenage boy friends were looking at them like they were idiots.
haha thanks you guys! I'm just happy that I'm not the only girl over 20 yrs old who has seen this. And, I'm glad some of you were crying too--makes me feel validated! Here's to Miley's next movie...
I haven't seen this one, but I've been loving the cheesy teen romances on the Netflix instant view, too. Just watched "Dear John" a couple weeks ago, and can't say it was a great movie, but those kind of movies are just fun to watch once in awhile and relax. And no worries-- with a baby under one year it's always totally valid to blame any crying on postpartum hormones. ;)
And thanks for the orthodontia shout-out! It's funny what Brian will notice and comment on. I tend not to notice, but Brian will nearly go crazy about some people's teeth sometimes!
