Grandpa

Yesterday morning, my wonderful grandpa passed away. He was a great man and had a long life full of lots of successes. I have so many memories of him, including sitting on these saddles when I was a kid. They were placed around a bar at his house, and we had so much fun pretending we were cowboys/girls who had stopped in for a cold drink. Sometimes, there were sodas in the fridge at the bar (which were never to be found at our house), which was an extra treat, and we had fun pretending and sitting on these saddles which were once on horses ridden by my grandpa and uncles. Anyways, I know that he's in the Spirit World now, and that he gets to be with his wife and 2 of his children who passed away many years ago. I'm happy for him and grateful that we have know what happens to us after we die. Thinking of him will always bring a smile to my face. Here's to you, grandpa.

Thanks for the kind comments Whit! The saddles were a great memory, and luckily we can still "ride" them whenever we want.

Was Claire eating one of those rotten walnuts we found on the grass at Apple Hill? I hope not.

What a cool photo and memory. I'm grateful for the gospel knowledge, too. Love you.
