Deer Hollow Farm

I love where we live because even though it's where HP was started, Apple headquarters, etc., you drive 15 minutes and you can feel like you're in a different world, very far away from any civilization.
Isn't this gorgeous?  Our adventure last week was to Deer Hollow Farm, a little farm in the middle of some reserve land not far from us.  It was such an awesome trip!  You park, walk about a mile, and then get to this free farm with all these animals which you can see really close up.
Perfect to let little ones run around.
The crew.  So, for some reason I've been so excited for the baby animals this spring.  I think it's because this is the first Spring ever that I look for animals on walks, read books about baby animals, and have someone in my family who is in love with most things furry (ie: Claire).  So I've been excited for the baby ducks at the duck pond, etc., and then when we were planning this, I was hopeful of baby animals.  And it blew us away!  There were like 4-5 lambs, and 7 baby goats.  I've never considered myself a fan of kids (baby goats), but I definitely have a new love for them--they were so much fun!

Isn't this an awesome picture of Kimberly and Isaac (and the cow)?  You could get so close to her!
And, we got to see them milk her, which isn't an everyday occurrence for me. So, if you have kids and live around here, go to this farm!  So much fun! Otherwise, Happy Spring.
