Japanese Friendship Garden

On Saturday, we went to a Japanese Frienship Garden in Kelly Park, San Jose. It was so great to get outside and enjoy the beautiful weather after the weeks of rain which we've had. It was a gorgeous day, and we had a great day together!

Here's an overall look at the garden..... Is this not the coolest tree? It looks like something from a Dr. Seuss book!

Here we are feeding the fish and ducks (not shown). So, didn't everyone feed the ducks/geese/carp bread at all parks and lakes? That is a favorite childhood pasttime of mine, and we brought bread this day specifically for that reason! Well, we were feeding them, and a ranger came by and said, "Don't feed them bread! You're going to kill them!" oh...my... So, apparently, thanks to us, there are fewer ducks and carp in this world... Like the fish food that they feed them comes from nature...

The Tea House!

What a cool garden.  And the bread story is fabulous.  You're going to kill the fish!  Ha ha.  Miss you!
