George Family Vacation 2011

It was another awesome one! Each year, my parents rent a big house somewhere, and my whole family comes and spends a week together. It is so much fun. We all can't wait, and then are sad when it's over, and then start brainstorming where we're going to have it the next year. This year, we rented a house in Montecito, which is just outside of Santa Barbara. We had a great time. Here are some pics:
Claire and cousin Eliza having some girl talk. We're all quite excited for their future together, as currently, the rest of the cousins are obsessed with dirt and trucks.
My mom plans out these awesome activities for the kids when we have 'house time'. This was after the Olympics, and they are all lining up to show off their medals.
My dad and his grand daughters. Thanks for providing the trip, dad!
We went to Solvang one afternoon--it's a small Danish town which I have super fond memories of because I used to go there every summer growing up to visit one of my good friends!
Santa Barbara Beach!
It's hard being such an awesome grandma, because sometimes all of the kids want her 100% attention. She does such a good job with all these kids who love her! Tag and Kat (on the side and in the back) are there to help supervise.
Can't pass up a cut out board for a cute picture! (At the SB Zoo)
Watching the elephants w/ Daddy
So, we had a great time and it was fun to get away and be with everyone. Can't wait for next year!

I'm so glad Claire shares your love of card board cut out photo opportunities! :)

I'm impressed you let Claire take the cardboard cutout pictures instead of you--you are quite the selfless mom!
