Easter Weekend

It was a fabulous weekend!  Warm weather, lots of family, fun activities, way too much food, and going home with tons of candy.  I can't think of anything that would have made it more perfect.  It started off fabulously when the Jet Blue attendant gave us a whole "More Space" row on the airplane.  That plus Animal Planet on the screen was a perfect match for the flight.
We met up with my mom, my sister, and her two kids at Pretend City in Irvine.  It was a great kids' museum overall, but I think Claire's favorite were these little chicks.  Easter is now her favorite holiday.
Claire found a "Bouncy!" (bouncy ball) at Grandma's house, which she played with for hours--she'd throw it, laugh, yell 'bouncy!', pretend to tickle it ("ticky ticky!"), then run after it with exaggerated airflow.  It was pretty fun to watch her.
Claire had so much fun running around, and having so much space!  She also loved being with her cousins who we got to do an Easter Egg Hunt with.  Speaking of, I'll post pictures of them in a forthcoming post.
 Love her.
We went to Irvine Park one day where we went on a hay ride, had an Easter Egg hunt, went on a train, and Claire got to ride a pony!  I thought she would love it, as she loves animals, but the initial mounting of the pony by a strange woman made her uneasy and she cried most of the ride.  We were "those" parents, who kept her on the animal and took pictures...  Nathan was merciful and cut the last lap.
It was warm enough that she got to debut one of her new swimsuits.  I think she's posing in this one for me.
  Happy Easter!

This is such a fun post. I loved the "exaggerated airflow" comment. Does Cal really learn how to pant like that from me? How often am I out of breath??
