We've been having a fun spring/summer, and thought I'd post a few pictures on daily life with this little one. Such a fun stage! She climbs and runs and talks and has a sense of humor and loves wrestling with daddy and playing with stuffed animals and following the trash truck down the entire street (she loves the trash truck so much that when the beeping reverse sound woke her up this morning, she immediately popped up and said, "Guy! Mommy! Guy!" lol.
The first time she got both shoes on and walked in them. Kind of one of those "moments".
We got to hang out w/ cousin Carson for a few days, and Claire loved it. Carson was very patient, and they even built this fort together!
Modeling at the Baylands
Discovering that the Sunnyvale "Arboretum" is not an arboretum and a major let down, though we definitely made the best of the outing and had fun exploring a museum, fake swans, and fountains.
We made it better by going to Ikea. This girl Loves stuffed animals. She was so in love with all of them, it was hilarious. She set up camp in one of the model bedrooms and made her nest.
Diaper on froggy ("Foggy"). She's reached the point where her babies/animals get hungry, tired, need diapers, get owies, etc. It's cute, and keeps her occupied for a while. Claire is a superstar in the talking department. She said her first real sentence yesterday "It's a bubble!", which she was copying from a sesame street video, but it's stuck with her. She says everything, and is really able to express herself. For example, today she poured (not spilled) water all over herself, made the face like she was going to cry, but stopped herself and said, "All wet!" Then we could laugh about it, rather than cry. Development is a wonderful thing.
