Moms and Mother-in-Laws

Thank the heavens for Moms and Mother-in-Laws.  I honestly think that I have the best, and am SO grateful for them.  My mom lost her mom when she was 20 years old, and her mother-in-law also passed away soon after my parents were married.  I don't know how she raised 5 kids, all alone, without either of these to rely on, and was still the most awesome mom and person I know.  I'm so grateful that I don't have to do that, because, like I said, these two women in my life are such wonderful examples to me.  My mom is constantly serving others, and will give up food, sleep, anything for the benefit of others.  My mother-in-law never ceases to serve her family and friends so happily and wants to make life as easy and relaxing as possible for those around her.
Anyway, I've been able to spend some time with all my family recently, and it's been great.  We took a long trip down there for the 4th and first spent a week at my mom's with Jenn and baby Ruby.

It was so fun having lots of space and equipment to do all of the necessary summer activities (bubbles, swimming, etc).  Then, we headed to Orange County and did a ton of this:
Claire is officially a fish.  She will jump in the pool all by herself and try to swim, so you have to keep a close watch.  She pours water all over her head, loves playing with rafts, noodles, and toys, and will go under water!  Hello to swimming lessons in the near future to capitalize on this love of water.  She even went down the waterslide!
The bubble guns couldn't have been more of a hit!
Happy 4th of July! (And 24th, I guess!  We'll give a shout-out to the Pioneers :) )
