Levi turned 2 months yesterday and is getting much more 'baby-ish' rather than 'newborn-ish'. He is a total talker and will coo and ooh at you for a while if you keep talking back. His favorite person to talk to--his dad. Levi gets excited to see Nathan and if he hears his voice he'll track him for as long as possible. They're going to be cute little buddies.
So Claire has called me "Mommy" ever since she could say the word, which has been just over a year. That's a lot of "Mommy"'s for me to hear, and I've never been more grateful to hear it than now. Why? Because just this week she has started calling me "Mom" a lot more, and I'm really not ok with this. I feel like "mom" is reserved for big kids who are complaining about doing chores, not for little two year olds who rely on their mother for everything. When she says "Mom", I feel like she's trying to be independent and grow up way too quickly. I feel like she's lost some of her innocence or something. I don't know, I just am not ok with it. Yesterday I asked her to keep calling me mommy, but our little chat had no effect. She still says "Mommy" when she really needs me--like when she wakes up in the morning and from naps, but during the day sometimes I'm "Mommy Mom", like she realized that she used her baby word or something and quickly corrects herself. I guess she will be 2 1/2 next month so I should give her her wings...haha
Nathan is healing well and is almost back to full range of motion with his arm. Last night he did more than he ever has by helping with Claire's bath, putting Levi in pajamas, and doing the dishes. It was so wonderful to have his help!
And, let's see...how am I growing... Well, that bag of coconut M&M's went somewhere...

Oh yeah, I'm sure the bag of m&m's has really had an effect on your 7 inch waist...
