Greenwich Village

Today I took the Path (the train that goes from NJ to NY) straight to Greenwich Village. It was beautiful! The narrow, tree-lined streets are really charming and set a perfect scene for a doorstep kiss in a chick-flick! Mostly I walked around and took pictures of cool buildings and doors. It's not as touristy there, so I felt a little funny. I ate lunch in Washington Square Park, which is right by NYU and has a beautiful arch in remembrance of George Washington. NYU is an interesting place. You wouldn't know it was a college campus if there weren't names of buildings on the side--it just looks like everything surrounding it. It's among cute parks, shops and restaurants for all of the locals, and would be a very different feel from BYU in that way. In Greenwich is is 75 1/2 Bedford street, which is the narrowest home in NY, only 9 1/2 feet wide! It was so little and cute!
