MoMA

Today I went to the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), which was great. I just took a Humanities class this past winter semester, and I got to see so many pieces of art that I studied! It was great. I also ran into my high school math teacher, Mr. Mansfield, in the Subway station. Super random! Below are some of my favorite pieces from the museum:

Flag, by Jasper Johns

Head of a Warrior, by Pablo Picasso

Olive Trees, by Vincent Van Gogh

Setting Sun, by Paul Signac

Oh also, I gave 2 people directions today! I was excited because that means that 1) people looked at me and thought, "She looks like she knows where she's going and that we can ask her" and 2) I actually knew the area well enough to tell them where they needed to go! I'm a local.

The art looks amazing. I actually have come to really like modern art. I used to hate it because I just didn't get it, but realized in college that it's actually pretty cool-- a lot of it is like a puzzle or a statement for the viewers to figure out or interpret for themselves. Also, that is extremely random you ran into Mr. Mansfield on the subway! Crazy.
